APEX ALARM LLC PRESIDENT CLAIMS COMPLIANCE.
April 18, 2005
Mr. Keith Nellesen, President of Apex Alarm LLC and CFO of Apx Alarm Security Solutions Inc stated:
"... we comply with all of the [California laws]...listed below. We are compliant."
"as ... Security [Systems] News stated, we were fined because one of our sales rep's license had expired but the rest of the story is still being investigated and our employee was found to be innocent with respect to the letter."

APEX ALARM LLC MANAGER DENIES ANY SANCTIONS.
October 15, 2004
Mr. Tom Mertz, (then the) License Qualifier for Apex Alarm LLC stated:
"... there are no sanctions against myself or Apex Alarm. We operate within the bounds of the law."

EXCERPTS FROM THE APEX ALARM LLC SALES REP's TRAINING MANUAL.
"You must give yourself a title that sounds professional. I would say, "Hi my name is Chance, I am a Security Consultant for ADT", another successful title is a "Route Coordinator" out filling spots for installs. Think of a title that works well for you."

"...we are increasing our visibility by installing alarms in your neighborhood. I am looking for three more homeowners ... willing to display one of our signs (it looks just like this, show front of binder). If you would be willing to display one of our signs in your yard we will customize $1200 worth of equipment and install it in your home at no cost."

"I almost always knock doors with 'No Soliciting' signs on the door because I think sometimes they put those signs out because they have a weakness for buying from door to door sales people."

"Make them feel comfortable with you. I get as close as I can to the person (without making them feel uncomfortable), stand below them if possible to the side and show them something on or in my binder while talking. I also look at the binder a lot rather than always looking at them, (but you do need to make occasional eye contact showing confidence, integrity)."

"There is a company going door-to-door in Iowa saying they want to upgrade your Lifeline equipment as part of a security alarm system... Be aware of this scam.

Immanuel Lifeline never goes door-to-door...

One of the names this company is using the name Apex Alarm, Honeywell Security Products Dealer. They are offering you free equipment with an installation charge and monthly payments if you sign up for a three year contract. Their monthly charge will go for 3 years even if your needs change or you no longer need the service in those years.

Please share this information with family and friends so they are aware of this situation."

UNLICENSED APEX ALARM LLC KICKED OUT.
Unedited employee comments culled from JobFacts.org:
COMMENT: The summer sucked. we had a manager that would say one thing and then it never happened. plus getting kicked out of a state because of not being licensed helps too.
GENERAL COMMENTS: I wouldn't ever work for them again.
GENERAL COMMENTS: This company over promised and under delivered. I was always told if you want to play with the pigs, your gonna get dirty. With this company you will get dirty.
COMMENT: They didn't pay me for about $26,000 of hard earned sales.
COMMENT: Not one time did they tell us about a "back end" pay "detail" that dropped us down the pay scale and paid us about $10,000 less. Then when everyone was mad for not having this said or written anywhere, all they would say was, "we told everyone at the beginning of the summer" and "this is how it has always been".
COMMENT: They encouraged lying and were there to make the money at all cost. Alot of people cancelled.
COMMENT: Nothing- I repeat NOTHING was as good as promised. Lying was encouraged and most reps were so self-absorbed that they didn't help anyone but themselves. As a first year rep- I would NOT suggest going with Apex. All promises, no delivery.
GENERAL COMMENTS: If you are a good, honest person- this company isn't right for you. Not only was it shady, but my wife and I didn't want to fit in in a group like this. We left early- leaving any earnings behind because we didn't want to be affiliated with these people. These were "good, honest guys" that lied for money, talked behind peoples backs and cared for nothing but themselves. My opinion is to get a good summer job, even making a fraction of what these companies promise and keep your dignity and self-respect. Always remember- "if it sounds too good to be true- it probaby is."
